The term “porch pounder” refers to a light, refreshing wine that’s gluggable enough to crush on a patio from AM to PM. This, however, is MOSTLY just a marketing resource.

UMMM HIIIII WE’RE BACK!!! first porch pounder of 2026 and I am S T O K E D to share that this piece is going to be coming out towards the start of the week to give you even more time to prep + plan your content with this weekly roundup in mind.

if you’re new to this mailing list (hello! I love you!) the porch pounder is like the anchor of my email ecosystem: it’s the thing that keeps your content strategy in motion by showing you a diverse range of creators to follow + creative strategies to try, designed to compliment my free resources like the content planning template and the content themes workshop.

in 2026, though, you’ll be getting even MORE inbox gifts just for being here. I’m actually about to migrate my weekly culture shift into this space too (previously on substack!) so at the end of each week, you’ll get an extra dose of inspo in the form of collective conversations you can contribute to, content crushes to swoon over, and trends to try on (in an actually original, actually inspiring not-copy-paste kind of way).

basically, whenever I’ve got something valuable to share w/ you that goes beyond the word-count-limits of instagram, you’ll find it in your inbox just like this.

my mission for my mailing list this year is to give you sh*t you can actually DO something with, so whenever you open an email from me, be ready to take some mfing ACTION when it comes to your content.

ok, end rant.

it’s lovely to be here.

[ and NOW FOR THE GOOD STUFF ]

001 / THE VIDEO

hey so b-roll vids with text overlay are alive and well and this is a perfect example of how to absolutely CRUSH IT if you like creating in this style!!!! I’m noticing folks putting a lottt of value in the caption (love to see it) which brings in a more committed level of engagement because people aren’t just viewing + reacting quickly, but actually soaking up your expertise and thoughtfully responding. this is also incrediblyyyyy share-able content! there’s a misconception that “value” or tips / how-to etc. etc. aren’t as shareable (and it’s true that they usually result in primarily saves) but when you’re sharing something that supports the collective with enough depth, folks can’t help but send it to a friend. I sent this to Frank IMMEDIATELY. to recreate, treat the “hook” like the title of a list you’re creating, and then the list itself goes in the caption. tag me if you try it!!

002 / THE graphic

what, you thought I was gonna be able to get through this whole email without mention of heated rivalry?! as if. I’m obsessed with this post from Amelia because it is such a unique way to call upon her extensive knowledge of the book world, connect it to something super culturally relevant, and that’s BEFORE we talk about the magic of this mixed-media actually letting us immerse ourselves back in each of these scenes, through music. this is truly one of the most unique pieces of content I’ve seen in SOOOooOOOO long. in case you needed the reminder that folks are still creating really bomb, original pieces of content out here ;).

003 / THE photo

saved this post from phoebe SO QUICK: a 2025 recap that documents living with a migraine for 318 days of the year. the internet can be a weird place to navigate when we’re dealing with any type of pain (especially the kind that folks can’t immediately see). the two-dimensionality of it all makes it hard to express our experience fully, while we’re constantly confronted with advice around how to best share our pain in a package digestible enough for other people. I think this year we’re going to see a whole lot more honesty in that regard, and phoebe is leadingggg the way. she speaks to that tension directly AND navigates it so poignantly here. as you swipe through, you’ll see so many dimensions of how her has “looked” day to day, while she opens up about how it’s felt in the caption.

004 / THE thread

I loved this post from Vix because it speaks so concisely to the discourse we’ve been hearing around these two big names announcing pivots at the top of the year. I’ve actually got a post out on my feed right now about how to turn big convos like this into content that’s actually supportive to your audience (vs. just sharing a take for take’s sake) and this is a PERF example of how to support folks amidst discourse without just adding to the noise with another take. it even got amy + jenna’s attention in the comments ;).

005 / THE episodes

I’m lucky enough to co-host two podcasts and this year I am really really REALLYYYY wanting to give them the flowers they deserve. this is where the realest, rawest, most honest and of-the-moment reflections on content / online business / life in general are happening. if you’re not a listener yet, the first episodes of the year are a perfect place to start:

LOVE YOU TO THE CORE

“Love The Money Goals Episode” / frank and I didn’t reach our revenue goals in 2025, but we’re feeling rich anyway ;). we’re kicking off our first episode of the year with a financial review of the past 12 months, sharing the personal finance and budgeting process that allowed us to save more than ever, why we didn’t reach our revenue goals for 2025 (and what we’re doing about it this year), savings strategies and how we’re modifying our investments this year, lack of progress on our debt (and why we’re not stressing about it) plus lots of the little money tools and tricks that we’ve loved this year!

WANTING IN PUBLIC

“Wanting In 2026: How to Set and Reach Your Goals This Year” / me and Kaitlyn kicking off the year by sharing our want lists for the entire YEARRRR, including the goals we have for our businesses, revenue, social platforms, and all the life-y bits between. we also unpack some of the standards we’ve been not perfect at upholding over the last few months and what we’re changing to keep ourselves accountable to our visions for the year ahead.

ONE LAST THING !!

social life is a content creation membership for the online leader who refuses to choose between inspiration and income, curiosity and authority, or creative play and paying clients.

you can now enroll any time and get instant access to on-the-go content support from me directly, plus loads of resources, workshops, content prompts, and a stacked community of online leaders to provide feedback + encouragement every step of the way!!!
