the term “porch pounder” refers to a light, refreshing wine that’s gluggable enough to crush on a patio from AM to PM. This, however, is MOSTLY just a marketing resource.
001 / the video

I know many of you are planning IRL experiences in the coming months and the bridge from IRL → URL is such a fun one to play with, though sometimes it also feels… elusive. I loved this example, where Kay highlights the welcome kit she’s curated for her guests, showing the care + intentionality she’s bringing to the experience and getting folks excited to attend in future. you know I am allllll about simplicity and I love that this video could have been filmed with very little equipment (maybe even hand-held!) sticking to one angle. it still feels intimate and personal because of the way her hands are engaging with the products (no showing-of-the-face-necessary, for the days when you just aren’t feeling being in front of the cam).

I’ve had some Qs coming up in my client support spaces lately about photo dumps and whether or not we’re still doing that — and the answer is yes. IF 👀… if there’s context and value within the imagery, or it’s showing embodiment of your values, hell yeah. I actually have two examples this week because I though it would be fun to show the juxtaposition — this post is a beautiful way to show specific practices without needing to include much text. on the other hand, this classic photo buffet shows values lived, without needing to over-explain. LOVE IT ALL!

speaking of IRL event marketing, Ellie has been running the most hilarious and creative campaign for her upcoming brand blitz experience. this post had me cackling. I love the creativity, the scrappiness, the not-taking-things-so-seriously. like, if anything is gonna make me wanna hang out with someone for a day in person, it’s shit like this. luckily, I get to, because I’m speaking at it 😉 IN PERSON! in LONDON! wanna come?
005 / the episode

a few weeks ago I set a goal for myself to send 35 pitches by my 35th birthday (april 19th) and… well. not gonna happen. you can find out why on this week’s episode of wanting in public. we also reflect on our want lists from march, get into some existential convos about how to feel inspired about what’s next when you either have no idea (Kaitlyn) or no societal “milestones” left (me), and Kaitlyn asks for strategies to stay rooted in her new direction despite how folks perceive the industry she’s stepping into!!
