001 / THE VIDEO

I adore this video for about 834932980428 reasons but I’ll TRY to summarize it into a tiny paragraph, I guess. first, this is one of my favourite content styles for feeling super present with your community, giving that feeling of “creating in the moment” without a ton of lift (i.e., it won’t distract dramatically from what you’re actually doing). to execute this, you just need to decide on one moment in time that you want to film — something that holds simple, tangible value for your people (like an outfit, a task, a meal…) and press “record” for a single frame video to document it. the lighting on the video is 10/10 even though she’s in a location that has a lot of overhead lighting (I’m guessing there’s a window right behind her phone shining all that gorg natural light on her face). I also love that the hook itself gives some insight into who she is while still being of value to the viewer. we get outfit inspo, and we can self-identify if there’s alignment. within a single sentence we get her age, her role as a mom, her job, the weather… this is an AMAZING way to call in new followers who are interested by the identity you’re holding.
by the way, life of the party is stacked with video creation and visual content resources. you’ll learn:
- how to establish a unique brand aesthetic online
- the best practices, tips, and tricks for every format of content
- efficiencies and strategies for simplifying your visuals
- an exact framework for super compelling hooks
- filming tricks for aesthetic content no matter what your life looks like

ummm this post from Marie?! obviously it’s gorgeous visually, but the real reason I’m sharing it with you here is as evidence that pinned posts can be beautifully designed ANDDDD give TONS of context to your voice and perspective while still being “promotional.” rather than just putting a roundup of all the different things she sells, she’s written this like a manifesto of her brand and then explained each offer with so much care and detail (but not just info-dumping to the point of overwhelming the reader). it strikes a perfect balance of giving us what we need to know about how we can be supported by her, without adding to the decision-fatigue that can hit when we’re faced with a suite of options. it’s giving “journey” rather than “menu,” which shows a deep understanding of who she works with and what they need.
in life of the party, we do extensive community development work, like:
- defining who you serve, where they spend time, and what they need
- core leadership themes that are directly relevant to your dream clients
- learning how to get the exact engagement you’re seeking on ANY post
- strategies to grow your community and with your people
- ways to optimize posts for meaningful dialogue AND consistent sales

NGL it took me like 20 minutes to decide which post of kierra’s to share because they’re all so fucking good. just run to her account right now and save everything, k? incredible inspo for anyone looking to combine lifestyle x business in a super seamless way. since I had to make a decision (hard!) we’re talking about this one today, because I know a lot of folks are in that new-year-adjacent, redefining-your-leadership era. often we put a lot of pressure on our re-introduction posts, but kierra strikes a gorgeous recipe of helping us get to know her but also helping us understand what we’ll find on her page for us. I LOVE that she snuck a little politics into the mix on slide 6 with “in a liberal way” so we immediately know her values there, and she also does something I ALWAYS recco in a re-intro which is noting why the viewer might want to stick around via the type of content we’ll find there. anytime you make a shift to your leadership themes or content lanes, a re-intro is an amazing way to keep your current audience informed AND bring in some new faces who are excited to be in the evolution with you.
004 / THE thread
instant save-button-smash when I saw this on my feed from portia. the internet has been volatile over the last few weeks and certain platforms can very quickly become a dumping-ground for unprocessed emotions when tensions are high — threads, especially. this is a “right place, right time,” kind of post, reading the room and offering a very clear call to action for how to navigate it. “why am I typing?” are words to LIVE BY, now and always. intention > reaction!!
PS. in life of the party, there’s a mini course called off-the-cuff, where you’ll learn how to create content for mini-form platforms like threads and stories, so you can share-on-the-go without undermining your leadership and post-in-the-moment without taking away from living in it.
005 / THE article

I’m so excited to share this article from Emma, one of the incredible women I just had the pleasure of spending a week in the jungle with thanks another epic Writing Wildly retreat. I love the approach she’s taken of reflecting on a specific moment in time — the morning after a fun night out — and then tying it back to a bigger conversation about our collective relationship to “healing” and how much living we might be sacrificing in the face of it. I also find this a really inspiring length for a “long-form” platform, where we get to go deep but the word count isn’t monumental. I know the idea of whipping out a massive essay can make substack feel less accessible, so save this if you’re loving the idea of showing up there but want to align it with the way you prefer to express yourself!
PS. life of the party now contains a full lesson specifically on long-form content. for the leaders who have a LOT to say, you’ll learn how to leverage platforms like substack and podcasts for collaboration, discoverability, and expression!
