the term “porch pounder” refers to a light, refreshing wine that’s gluggable enough to crush on a patio from AM to PM. This, however, is MOSTLY just a marketing resource

001 / the video

we’ve been hearing lots about the rise of episodic content and I’m looovingggg this series as an example of how you can do this without needing to vlog your whole life just to share about it. I love how she has a super recognizable + unique filming backdrop with her windowsill, and GAH the little mic on the straw!!! brilliaantttt. the edits are engaging but not overwhelming, and I love how the viewer gets to learn more about her journey while also getting insight + encouragement if they’re thinking about doing something similar. she tees up the next episode beautifully in the caption as well, which is an AMAZING way to create follower growth from a series!

okay, let’s be honest: we all fantasize about starting a meme account. we all think our sense of humour is the best sense of humour. or that we have the most inspiring “inspiring quotes” folder. we all wish we could express to our clients just how fucking funny we truly are, even if the topics we talk about are a little more serious sometimes. we all want to make it known how deep in the depths of internet culture we are. WE JUST WANNA SHOW THAT WE HAVE RANGE, AM I RIGHT? enter: the best example of meme-dumping-as-expertise I have seen in recent memory right here. turning memes into affirmations, positioning them as having a specific outcome is pure effing genius. (note: my personal recommendation when it comes to sharing things like this is to choose memes where the original publisher’s username is present on the graphic so that credit can be given!).

OKAY THERE IS SO MUCH TO UNPACK WITH THIS ONE. great visual hook happening for sure. great written hook. absolutely lovely series of slides following that. love that she used a couple different colours on the text to help with legibility / attention. BUT THEN THAT LAST SLIDE! starting a CONVERSATION about her next offer! this is continued in the caption where she shares some really important reminders re: client relationships, claims her lane, and then positions a potential opportunity to learn from her later, once she’s back from mat leave. I just…. jaw on the floor. adore it all. PS, you can catch me hosting a workshop in her membership community later this year!

004 / the thread

okay, hear me out — I’ve been light on the threads updates because I’ve been… avoiding threads. fully. for the last 3 weeks. and OH MY GOD it’s been bliiiiiisssssss. one of the things I’ll be talking about in going steady tonight is removing distractions to funnel focus into one space when you really want to have your eyes on the prize for a minute, social-media-lly speakingAND THAT I DID. but what’s happening now is: I’m back with a new strategy that will allow me to leverage the things I like about the platform while continuing to lean away from the things I don’t. and I thought you might be nosy about that, so you can peep my new + improved profile right here. any guesses what angle I’m taking? any questions as you peruse? here to chat about it in the instagram DMs (on instagram, duh, threads did NOT need them to add an inbox and I will die on that hill).

005 / the episode

last week was one of my faaaavourite-ever episodes of LYTTC because I got to combine my strategic expertise with my passion for not-using-AI-or-paying-for-Meta-ads all wrapped into one. I’ve gotten so much amazing feedback on this episode so far and I know it’s helped so many folks figure out why they’ haven’t been growing and how to intentionally create an uptick in their community in the coming weeks.

description, if you need a little more context: I gained almost 2K new followers in January WITHOUT a single trial reel, paid ad, or viral post… and actually spent less time creating content than before. in this episode, I’m reverse-engineering my strategy step by step to show you exactly how I did it, anddddd going through all the steps for YOU to create a strategy that yields similar results. consider this your proof, ONCE AND FOR ALL, that you don’t have to pay to play — in time, money, energy, or ethics — to scale your online platforms! here’s the link.

k, that’s all 🙂
see you ON THE INTERNET soooon
