what I did to increase my engagement dramatically in 2026

growth + engagement

I’m chuckling to myself as I type this because I just saw that the working title for this email in my planner is, “why my content has been so fire lately.” LOL. AND WHERE IS THE LIE?! but bare with my self-obsessed ass for a sec because I’m sliding into your inbox with tips that’ll give YOU an inflated ego about your own posts, too. promise.

on December 31st, 2025, a switch flipped in my brain, and you can see it on my feed.

it started with this post, and it’s catalyzed the most meaningful season of momentum I’ve had with my platforms AND my mailing list in at least 6 months. probably more. I shared about the specific results I’ve been seeing in this email, and the numbers just keep growing. but it goes beyond that, too. I’m looking forward to my content creation process again. it’s not a task on my to-do, it’s something I can’t wait to get my hands in. I’m actually spending less TIME on content overall, but it’s been WAY more effective and more fulfilling.

and all that is lovely, obviously, what’s been even more exciting is people telling me that they can feel the energy change:

because it is my life’s work to figure social media shit out for you, I’ve put together a little case study on what’s actually been happening behind the scenes to make it possible for me to show up in a way that’s earning me messages like this:

below, I’ve outlined the 4 reasons why my content has been so fire lately (in my own words lolol) and how I’m getting the community feedback to back that claim up 😉 and I wont bury the lede — it’s all connected to what I support you with in life of the party.

K, LET’S BUILD THAT CREATIVE EGO:

001 / I’m creating within my bandwidth

I meannnn, truly step fucking one of ANY solid strategy, but usually the hardest to stick to. I’m an ambitious little biotch and often I don’t even REALIZE I’ve stretched myself too thin until I find myself staring at my content calendar feeling like I’m about to crumble beneath the weight of my own idea pile.

luckily, I know how to dig my way out of it.

I’ve been planning my content for a REALISTIC week instead of an ideal one, which has allowed me to pour enough time into each piece to feel really f*cking proud of it before I press post. the response to my content this year in comparison is hard evidence that more is NOT more, and quality > quantity still reigns.

(in the capacity modules of life of the party, you’ll identify your own version of consistency, not just guessing what you’re able to output but actually tracking what’s feasible within your current season.)

002 / I’ve nailed down my visual language

you’ll see a brand refresh hit my feed right around the same time that I got my spark back, and that’s NOT a coincidence, but cohesive fonts and colours are just the tip of the iceberg.

what actually happened was a RECOMMITMENT to the styles of content I share, from carousel templates to photo dump formats to video edits.

this has allowed me to resist distractions and settle into a rhythm — I know what styles resonate with my audience, I know what I enjoy creating, and I know what kind of inspo to save so that I’m not sampling new styles every week that will pull me out of my flow. when we can skip the what-should-it-look-like waffling, we have more time to optimize the posts for resonance AND reach.

(life of the party hosts a shitload of visual strategy support, from establishing your unique aesthetic to actually learning the skills to bring the visuals you’re most inspired by to life.)

003 / I’ve clarified my role in the online space

we do so much work around our identity (and that’s essential, don’t get me wrong) but there’s another side of the coin: your leadership doesn’t exist in a vacuum. it’s a relationship. between you, your audience, AND your peers. when I made the decision to REALLY dial my shit in, I got extremely clear on where I fit within the overall ecosystem. not just my themes and perspectives, but the lanes that I want to play in. now, I’m focusing my content on the arenas where I know I’m able to make the most impact, and WHAT DO YOU KNOW — it’s working.

(the way life of the party approaches content is community-first, so it’s not just about strategizing or defining, it’s about positioning. we’ll do extensive field research on who you serve AND how to serve them best.)

004 / I’m sticking to my systems (because they’re flexible)

stepping into each week feeling prepared on the content front my top priority, because I know that if I’m not a few steps ahead, socials start to feel like a “have to” and frankly, I hate that shit.

now you’d THINKKKK that the more systems, processes, and accountabilities I could weave in, the more prepared I’d be — but for me, it’s the opposite. the more over-zealous I am about structure, the more difficult it is for me to sustain.

I MUCH prefer feeling like my days are flexible, like my tasks are optional, and like my life offline is allowed to come before my presence online.

the systems I have for creating have to compliment those desires, not challenge them. so I’ve found a few specific, IMPORTANT non-negotiables (like weekly caption-writing sessions and task-batching my carousel designs) but they’re all bendy as hell so that I don’t feel too bound to them.

(life of the party doesn’t prescribe you systems, but it gives you OPTIONS. you’ll learn tons of different ways to approach your content creation with modular, maleable workflows that you can massage into the work schedule you have and the life schedule you want.)
